Each curler is responsible for their own equipment. There are some donated equipment at the curling rink,
however, it would be better to have your own (just in case there are more kids then available equipment).
These items are required for the season:
A clean pair of shoes (runners with soft soles) that will only be used for curling
A curling broom
Gloves with some form of grip,
Layers of moveable, stretchy clothing (sweat pants, track pants, sweaters)
Clean shoes are mandatory in the ice area, both for curlers and helpers. No street shoes are to be worn.
Please note the following times: the kids are to arrive at 12:45 for 1:00 p.m. start and are done at
2:30
p.m. Please be prompt. Please volunteer to help. There are various ways to help out and we expect that curling parents will help
out on ice and that non-curling parents will sign up to help with other areas. (i.e. Christmas Party, Year End
Party). On-ice parents be advised that while we hope you will make every session, we do know that
sometimes it is not possible. Please let Christina (780-459-2741) know as soon as possible if you are
unable to attend so that other help can be obtained.
If a curler is going to be absent, please let Christina know as soon as possible as well. This is particularly
important once the games start. Teams will require adjustments for missing members.
Please keep your schedules. We will post any changes that may occur in the year.
Rotating positions on the teams is mandatory. This way everyone finds out about the importance of all
positions. Remember that when it is your turn to play Third that you mark your game score up.
Do your part in keeping the club clean and in good repair. The concession is open for our convenience and
we ask that you pick up after yourselves. Also note that the upstairs lounge is open only as a convenience
to parents and any children who are up there should keep things tidy. Please, no running or horsing around.

Puppy

attempts per round, over three rounds, to curl your puppy down the kitchen floor
to the target. The most accurate curler wins!"
