Event Space

The St. Albert Curling Club offers modern banquet facilities for weddings, meetings, trade shows, parties and corporate gatherings, as well as ice rental options for curling practise, team building, fun-spiels, and bonspiels. In the off season, our arena offers a unique space for large events such as concerts or trade shows. For example, we are home to two of the Northern Alberta International Children’s Festival stages each year.

Ideal Location

We are also located next to the Lion’s Park, the Railroad trestle and the Children’s bridge – all lovely backdrops for wedding pictures.

Variety of Events

Our beautiful facility is available for rent to members, community groups, corporations and private citizens.  For external groups or companies looking for a curling experience, the St. Albert Curling Club offers six curling sheets for both hourly and daily rentals.  The Club is the perfect venue for company team building events and fun-spiels. Equipment is included and instruction is available.

ACCESS

All areas of the club are wheelchair accessible.

PARKING

Public parking lot, including handicapped parking stalls are located adjacent to our building. Loading zone on front street.

CATERING

In house caterer “Simply The Best Pizza & Catering” have first right of refusal for all functions held at the Curling Club.   Contact:  simplythebestcatering@outlook.com

BAR

We hold a liquor license and operate the bar for all alcohol sales.

BARTENDERS

We supply licensed (ProServe) bar staff.  Additional rates apply.

UPSTAIRS BANQUET HALL 

  • Featuring the Friendly Giant Lounge with full bar area is at the hub of our club.

DOWNSTAIRS VIEWING AREA:

  • Perfect for smaller gatherings, fun-spiels, and meetings.
  • MAXIMUM CAPACITY:  80 with round tables
  • AMENITITES:  Washrooms, co-ed change room. Lockers (seasonal)
  • AUDIO VISUAL  
    • Portable Projection Screen   (Supply your own projector)
    • Multiple TV’s and integrated A/V system – All TV’s up and downstairs can be connected for simultaneous projection and audio presentation with a Microsoft Windows Laptop or USB.

  • CONCESSION & CATERING:  by Simply the Best Pizza & Catering.

ARENA RENTAL – Off Season April through end of August

  • Unique space is suitable for concerts; large weddings; trade shows; corporate events; training camps
  • Maximum capacity 1020 with some tables.
  • Smooth concrete floor, wheelchair accessible, with truck door for easy deliveries
  • Access to front of club for washroom, kitchen and additional seating.
  • Audio system
  • Rates are dependent upon private or public or non-profit use.
  • Not available in May due to Northern Alberta International Children’s Festival

CURLING ICE RENTAL: (September through March)

  • Rates are dependent upon private or public or non-profit use.
  • Some Curling Equipment is available if needed for Funspiels and corporate events.
  • Instruction can be provided at an additional cost.

PRIVATE FUNCTIONS

  • 1-3 Sheets: $50 per sheet + GST
  • 4-6 Sheets: $40 per sheet + GST

ARENA RENTAL

  • Rates are dependent upon private or public or non-profit use.

The Arena is also available for rental in the curling off season, and provides perfect venue for concerts, trade shows, boot camp or any large gathering.
